Interesting times...

Well, that's one for the record books! Yeh, I know, you have no idea what I'm talking about. But that's why you're reading this, to find out what's happening with me. And boy, have I got something interesting to talk about...

I've been in discussions with Praetor, our CEO, about a few things I've seen as problematic in this corp, based on what I've learnt of successful leadership within some of the pirate corps. While they're scumbags, they certainly do know how to run a tight-knit, well-disciplined and effective organisation. Some of the ideas I've presented to Praetor have been ideas he's been agreeable to.

And now he's considering putting me into the position of Head of Operations, to carry out the enactment of some of my ideas. Thats' what's 'for the record books'... Here I am, new to the corp, thrown into Recruitment due to my enthusiasm and ideas/techniques, and now thrown into Operations.

Not that I'm complaining! Hell no. I think it'd be great to be in such a position, and have an influence on how Purify grows and moves forward.

There's been discussion in the comm channels about 'things to do'. I mentioned regular training this morning, and some of the new guys were quite excited and agreeable about it. I talked about 'qualifications', where trainers can only be trainers if they have a minimum amount of experience. Again, they were agreeable. So I think one of the first things I'll get organised will be trainers. I don't think trainers need to be squad leaders, they just need to have experience and a willingness to train others.

The only way Purify can become 'purifiers of the galaxy' is to become more focused, more skilled, and more disciplined than what we currently are. I'm excited at the opportunity Praetor's considering giving me, to help Purify reach its goals. Interesting times indeed....
